Our equipment stretches the material beyond its yield point to remove all the stresses introduced at the mill. Non-marking, non-slip grippers ensure that the material is clean and consistent every time.

Whether you laser cut, punch, notch or shear, HIGHSL carbon steel remains flat during fabrication. Our heavy-duty, fully adjustable Red Bud Industries® stretcher leveler relieves the random trapped internal stresses that can cause material to spring back after being cut. This ensures that your parts will be flat, and that you will experience less rejection and scrap.

The first in the Mid-Atlantic region, our stretcher leveler works by stretching the entire cross section of the strip beyond its yield point from top to bottom and side to side. Only in this way can the random stresses be effectively equalized, and spring back eliminated. The material is actually stretched only a small amount by non-marking metallic grippers that handle even heavily-oiled material.
